She trained in acting at Drama Studio London and later in collaborative performance-making at LISPA (now Arthaus Berlin).

Cat’s work is multi-disciplinary and always created in an intuitive, collaborative, devised process. At the heart of Cat’s work is story – from the personal to the mythic, the individual to the collective. She circles around how we embody story, how we can develop a metaphorical kind of thinking, experiencing and transmission of artistic work.

As a dramaturg – primarily in theatre and dance – and facilitator, Cat’s work seeks to integrate the various elements of a process: to include the dynamics and interplay between the personal, interpersonal and transpersonal elements that are in each creative process. Cat mentors, curates and teaches various workshops (both online and off) and is a regular teacher at Arthaus Berlin and Cours Florent, Berlin.

She is the founder of Cosmino Productions (www.cosmino.org) which she runs with her partner and long term Blue Man, Kuba Pierzchalski.

Rachel is currently touring her latest solo performance Dreams Die Hard, which was inspired by the wartime diary of her Grandmother. Rachel trained with Odin Teatret, Philippe Gaulier and Frankie Armstrong and worked as an actor with internationally acclaimed Polish company, Teatr Biuro Podróży. As a director she has created performances with, among others, Greenwich Theatre, Northampton & Leeds Universities and the State Theatre of Salzburg. She is currently an External Examiner at East 15 Acting School in the UK. In 2001 she completed her PhD research into shamanic dimensions within contemporary theatre practice and has offered ‘From the Shaman to the Actor’ workshops often in collaboration with renowned author, Brian Bates. Rachel is relieved that after so many years of making theatre, it is still the greatest thrill imaginable.

Michelle holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Oxford and a postgraduate certification in physical and devised theatre at LISPA (Arthaus) in Berlin. Her work investigates the disruption of prevailing mythologies through embodied play, with a focus on female-centred/queer narratives. She is co-director of award-winning theatre company, Bait (Cronivision, Kill The Princess) and is developing her own pedagogy based on integral movement (Axis Syllabus), clown (Pochinko/Clown Through Mask) and poetics. Her journalistic work has been broadcast on the BBC and she is co-host of Bears at a Picnic (Resonance FM). She is a guest lecturer/associate artist at City University and the University of Greenwich and is based in Berlin where she is completing a three-year cycle in Integral Movement and Performance Practice at the Thomas Prattki Centre.

He has been the pedagogical director of the Ecole Jacques Lecoq, before creating in 2003 the London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA). In 2018 he creates arthaus.berlin, which hosts the international school of theatre and performance makers, an international workshop and research space and the Thomas Prattki Centre for Integral Movement and Performance Studies.

As a performer he has toured the world with Mummenschanz, a world renowned company combining movement, mask, puppetry and the visual arts. He has directed, taught and lectured for the last three decades in over 30 different countries, pursuing his interest in the practice of Embodiment in art and life.

His most important reference point next to the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq is the strongly Jungian and Zen based work of Maria Hippius and Karlfried Graf Duerckheim. His most important teacher is currently his 6 month old daughter.

As an actor she has performed with a number of US-based theatre companies, devising experimental work, whilst working professionally as an arts-in-education activist. She has an MFA in Actor Created Physical Theatre from Naropa University (USA), completed in partnership with LISPA, and a Certificate of Advanced Post Graduate Studies (Expressive Arts in Education) from the European Graduate School (Switzerland). She has taught with the LISPA/arthaus team since 2005. Kelley is also a visual artist, working primarily in acrylic, ink and watercolour. She has a deep interest in the development of sustainable creative practice, and the act of ‘making’ as a way of shaping the self and the world.

he headed to the ‘Fontys Academie voor Theater Tilburg, where he trained in directing and theater education. He has a BA in Theater from Fontys Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (The Netherlands) and an MA in Devised Theatre and Performance from the Rose-Bruford College in London and arthaus.berlin.

Over the years, he has taught a wide range of classes, covering subjects such as acting, expressive skills, public speaking, pitching, diction and diversity. In his own creations and performances, he explores the authenticity of his surroundings and natural human behaviour, offering up a poetic mirror to society. Currently, Jelle performs with CO-LAB, a collective of Latin American and European artists.

She studied clown with different teachers such as Julia Muzio, Jorge Costa, Gabriel Paez and Lucia Snitcofsky and studied for two years at the EMAD: Metropolitan School of Dramatic Arts (Buenos Aires) specializing herself in “Acting for Open Spaces”. 

Inspired by meeting mask-maker Alfredo Iriarte, Maria began her research into the different masks and techniques of mask making, and the pedagogies by Marcelo Savignone and Lecoq.

For nearly two years she lived in Bali, carving masks in wood and eventually forming part of a collaboration with her teacher, mentor and friend, I Made Sudirga, entering into the Balinese beliefs and conceptions of the world, and reshaping herself as person and artist.

When she returned to Argentina, she created workshops, which brought together Balinese masks and conceptions with occidental theatre.

In summer 2019 she completed the two-year postgraduate training at arthaus.berlin in performing arts, devising theatre, and embodied dramaturgy.

She has performed, directed and devised with many companies including Compagnie Philippe Gaulier, Keith Johnstone, Spymonkey, Told by An Idiot, Peepolykus and Trestle Theatre Company.  She is joint Artistic Director and performer with the theatre company – A & E Comedy, whose play, Enter The Dragons, won the Best of Brighton Fringe award 2017.

Over the last 25 years Abigail has taught extensively at drama schools and Universities, including Mountview, ALRA and Middlesex University.  As a scriptwriter, she won Hat Trick Productions Sitcom Mission Competition and has made a number of short films, including a TV sitcom pilot with Spymonkey Theatre Company.

He studied at the Ecole Internationale de Theatre Jacques Lecoq in 1996 and joined LISPA in 2011, where he completed the Advanced Devising Practice program as well as the pedagogical training.

An active collaborator with companies in the US, Europe and Latin America, he also holds a PhD in Modern Languages and Literatures from the University of Miami with an emphasis on Performance. His dissertation “Scenic Landscapes: The theater in the global city” explores the relation between globalization, theater and non-conventional performance spaces.

She has worked with various UK companies, touring extensively with internationally acclaimed theatre company, 1927 (Golem/ Roots) and regularly collaborates with Irish company Brú Theatre. She has also made and toured several independent works. Having previously trained and worked as a nurse, she is involved with Chimera Network in developing theatre workshops with and for student nurses. 

She is deeply rooted in embodied practices and is curious about things that turn, and movements through, which might take us beyond.

He is a drum circle-facilitator and works as well with Himalayan singing bowls. “Rhythm is my tool as a clown and as a teacher in order to create a space for new experiences and personal development. There is no need to learn a new instrument, since you are the instrument. You will find out how to play it in the best possible way.”

In 2001, he set up a touring company, Shams, and was its artistic director until 2012. Shams created intelligent and playful new work, often using multimedia elements, clowning, site specific or immersive projects.

For the past 20 years, Jonathan has also worked freelance as a performer, writer and director/dramaturg with other UK theatre companies. He has regularly taught movement, devising, clowning and theatre at drama schools and universities, including LAMDA, LISPA in London and Berlin, Guildford School of Acting, Birkbeck and Manchester Universities.

He is a qualified Feldenkrais Method practitioner and a screenwriter. His first short film, Padlock (2016), co-written with director Ben Hyland, won Best Film at the Bottle Smoke Film Festival and Best Thriller at the New Renaissance Film Festival. He is currently developing feature film and TV projects, as well as a new clown-theatre show.
